Country Fair & Logger's Jubilee

Celebrate the 1800’s Country Fair and Loggers Jubilee, July 18-19, 2009, in the beautiful Big Bear Valley.

Hosted in the town of Fawnskin at the historical Pedersen’s Mill, the 1800’s Country Fair and Loggers Jubilee, is the first collaboration between the Old Miners Association and the Bear Valley Renaissance Society.

On Saturday, July 18, the annual Old Miners DooDah Parade will march down the streets of Fawnskin, followed directly by the beginning of the Country Fair at 11 am.

Showcasing the entire nineteenth century, including Victoria, pioneers, the wild west, old miners, loggers and the American civil war, the 1800’s Country Fair will introduce you to literary characters and authors, historical figures and more. The children will have games, crafts and contests befitting an 1800’s Country Fair. Visitors are invited to dress in costume (and a great many do) or welcome to just come join the fun.

In the arena area Loggers Jubilee events will continue with contests all day, open to the public. Trophies, cash prizes and a saw give-away will highlight some of the days events.

Event hours: 11am to6 pm Saturday, July 18.
10am to 6pm Sunday, July 19.
