Premiering in 2005, Mountain Homes and Properties is the newest publication for ABC Media. Designed for those interested in purchasing or renting in the Big Bear Valley, the publication is distributed at nearly 150 locations throughout the area. Mountain Homes and Properties is published eight times per year. Always available, the digest size publication includes listings, rentals and information about the Big Bear Valley. Mountain Homes is also a digest sized publication, and combination rates between the two publications are available. Bear Valley Bonus Bucks are the Valley’s discount coupon program. Included inside Big Bear Magazine to all local residents, delivered at each and every PO Box, the Bonus Bucks allow local residents special prices and offers. The company was chosen to produce the first Business and Resource Guide for the Big Bear Chamber of Commerce, in 2004, and also published the 2005-2006 Guide. The company has also published the Big Bear Valley Cowboy Poetry & Music Gathering program, in addition to the Bear Valley Contractors Association promotional guide. Publisher/CEO, Barbara Scharnhorst came to Big Bear in 1992. She was an advertising account executive for House and Garden Magazine, as well as several trade publications in the gift industry. Barbara is the founder of the Big Bear Leads Club and a former Soroptimist.
